PHIL MARTINO
Phil Martino, founder of Global360, is a renowned visionary in the world of video communication.

In his latest venture, Phil produced and directed the live broadcast of the 2007 DARPA Urban Challenge seen live via the Internet around the world. This event was truly groundbreaking. For the first time autonomous vehicles have interacted with both manned and unmanned vehicle traffic in an urban environment. Phil is thrilled to combine his video technology talent with his love of science and exploration.
This project showcases the inspiration and awe many children felt while watching the astronauts land on the moon. He is thankful for this opportunity to celebrate the spectacle of technology and what is possible.
In 1985, he directed the first-ever live 2-way link connecting five continents across the globe. Participants in this first of its kind event were heads of state from Sweden, Greece, India, Tanzania, Argentina & Mexico.
In his journalism career, Phil has collaborated with Science & Media icons including Carl Sagan (Joint Ventures to Mars, PBS) and Peter Jennings (Journalism Spacebridge with The Soviet Union, PBS) among others.
With nearly 4 decades as a live television director, Phil has showcased his skills with the NBA, MLB and the Goodwill Games. He also directed for the Pilot Award-winning series “Capitol to Capitol”, Executive Produced, & Directed the live newscast on the World AIDS conference.
Always interested in global communication and vision, Phil produced “Live from Moscow: Success Stories of a Surviving Planet” which included features from around the world and live interviews with the Russian Cosmonauts from the Mir Space station. |
